Nike SB x Wasted Youth Dunk Low Pro Shoes in Black, University Red and White. Following on from mononymous Japanese graphic-designer Verdy’s ‘Girls Don’t Cry’ Nike SB Dunk Low from 2019, the Nike SB x Wasted Youth Dunk Low Pro hosts a patchwork punk-inspired aesthetic that pays tribute to underground subcultures and throwback double-denim aesthetics. The first silhouette to officially be assigned to his Wasted Youth label, these low-collared Dunk Low’s are styled with exposed-stitch black denim uppers with butter-soft tonal leather overlays across the mudguards and eyestays for added textural depth and referential punk-scene character. A classic crisp-white vulcanised midsole complements the Zoom Air heel unit and the all-black circular tread cupsole for added step-by-step functionality handed down from its OG courtside roots, whilst the mix-match block-leather and frayed-edge Swooshes pair well to complement the profile’s rough-and-ready sense of appeal. Across the interior-facing quarter panel Swoosh, delicate white and red-stitch floral detailing honours the brand’s recurring Budweiser-inspired motif that has been frequently seen to depict a tulip growing from a crumpled beer can, whilst the embroidered, split collar ‘Wasted’ and ‘Youth’ detailing is complemented by d-Ring silver hardware and exposed red-stitch shadow trims as reference to the brand’s vintage Budweiser inspired inverted logo. Custom-print ‘No Thank You I Don’t Need Your Support’ and ‘Don’t Bother Me Anymore’ insoles can be found across the interior, whilst all-black puffy laces secure the padded ‘Nike SB Dunk Low Pro’ embroidered tongue across the natural arch of the foot for a secure and supportive everyday wear.

Inspired by Wasted Youth’s punk-rock aesthetic and founder Verdy’s iconic graphic-design legacy, the Nike SB x Wasted Youth Dunk Low Pro boasts a counterculture vibe that pairs exposed denim with classic basketball heritage. Launched in 2016 and home to an eclectic team of in-house Osakajin skaters, Wasted Youth’s unrestrained loyalty to contemporary styling is a trait that continues to inspire both Japanese street culture and the brand’s ties to the Western skate scene.

    For each release we will invite those interested to enter a draw to purchase prior to the products actual designated time of release. Card payment will be required to register for each draw and your payment will be authorised and held in your bank until the physical raffle takes place.  Flatspot receives no funds from you unless your name is successfully drawn at the designated time and date of the actual release.
