Nike SB have teamed up with Japanese streetwear label FPAR (Forty Percent Against Rights) to develop a new Dunk High Pro model that bears distinctive typography and hybrid logos against a classic hi-top silhouette with a dramatic tongue. The uppers are made from smooth leather dyed to black and dark grey tones which highlights different segments across either side of the foot, and elongated Swoosh ticks have been layered on top and split into two. The lower half is made from a patterned laser cut synthetic material and the tail cut from leather with embossed slogan lettering reading ‘Don’t Follow Me.’ and ‘I’m Lost Too…’. Across the toe vamp perforation has been added for ventilation and above grey tone cotton laces loop between a curved leather border with an embroidered shroud panel bearing Nike SB Swoosh branding in the centre. Above this the top lace is connected by a colour matched toggle with reworked FPAR branding in white and around the top of the tongue two cut out windows add a unique effect with debossed ‘Nike SB’ lettering.
On the back of the heel further typography can be seen against a woven heel loop tab which aids ease of entry and below a 3D version of the same reworked Swoosh tick ‘FPAR’ emblem is also visible. The underside of the tongue is lightly padded for comfort and bears ‘Trust No One.’ lettering which has been printed in white just below the top edge. Built using a durable cupsole construction method, the matte black rubber outsole complements the rest of the design and features a multidirectional tread pattern.
Inspired by the Air Jordan 5 and 6, these Nike SB x FPAR Dunk High Pro Premium Shoes incorporate FPAR’s signature aesthetic which focuses on bold typography and thoughtful messages, combined with signature Nike SB Dunk High Pro detailing constructed using a mix of premium materials. This collaboration is the first between Nike SB and FPAR and demonstrates ongoing partnerships within skateboarding, streetwear and fashion.
