Nike SB Dunk Low Pro ‘Wheat’ Shoes in Flax and Baroque Brown. Playing on the legendary Dunk Low ‘Reverse Wheat Forbes’ from 2017, these boot-like sneakers supply autumnal aesthetics backed by contemporary court-side character. Offering playful advancements on team-rider Reese Forbes’ OG ‘02 silhouette, these low-top Dunks are styled with season-appropriate uppers crafted from a mixture of tan and brown brushed-back suede, whilst the contrasting chocolate-toned rubberised midsole provides added depth to the traditional gum-brown outsole for increased characterised charm. Inspired by traditional hiking gear, outdoor performance-wear and by the brand’s own strong sense of nostalgia, these puffy, padded tongue sneakers remain loyal to their mark-up with their perforated toe-box and reinforced quarter-panel stitchings. Colour-merging sidewall Swooshes offer a more refined vibe when compared to the 2017 release, with the rounded laces securing the ‘Nike SB Dunk Low Pro’ branded tongue against the natural arch of the foot with ease. Across the rear, above the stitch-stacked ankle brace, dark-brown embroidered ‘Nike’ branding seals the design off in style.
Styled similar to the recent Nike Air Force CO.JP ‘Wheat’ sneakers, these archive-inspired shoes pay homage to the ‘original Nike SB team nucleus’ and Reese Forbes’ popularised profile from 2002. Earthy colourings and well-rooted foundations honour Nike SB’s endless commitment to skate, whilst the Dunk continues its legacy well into the changing seasons with yet another rosta-worthy release.
