Presenting the outcome of a collaboration between two iconic brands, these monochrome Nike SB Dunk Low OG Medicom Shoes have been created in partnership with Medicom Toy Incorporated, the designers of the famous BE@RBRICK figure which is sold across the globe in a variety of print designs. Adding texture and a characteristic look to an iconic Nike SB footwear model, the uppers are made from black hairy cow leather and the same fabric continues across the perforated toe vamp and around the back of the heel. Shaped borders cut from the same material flow across the design and provide additional durability whilst two sets of laces arrive with each pair for a customisable look. For comfort the tongue is padded and has a black woven label below the top edge that presents a black ‘@’ symbol against a white outline of a bear’s head. The same white ‘@’ bear symbol has been embroidered on the outer sides of the heel and above the tip of the ankle collar features an off-white hairy fabric insert with subtle embroidered ‘NIKE’ branding on top. A custom monochrome Medicom Toy print design and collaborative Nike SB x BE@RBRICK logo can be seen across the padded sockliner alongside a smooth fabric lining which works in harmony with the foam midsole and rubber outsole to provide a high level of support and comfort. A full cupsole stitch features around the outsole for improved durability in addition to a forefoot pivot circle that provides multidirectional grip and mimics the design of the original Nike Dunk.
Tapping into the BE@RBRICK bear mascot with a textural hairy fabric, this footwear design has arrived as the second collaborative style created by Nike SB and Medicom Toy Incorporated, a Japanese brand famous for creating a selection of iconic figures that have gained an international following of streetwear fans and collectors. Famous for presenting designs created with the likes of Nike, Hello Kitty, Supreme and BAPE, the BE@RBRICK has an immediately recognisable silhouette which acts as the perfect base for a number of playful and experimental designs.
