Nike SB Orange Label Dunk Low Pro
Enhanced by pops of vivid, ‘infrared’, this edition of the Nike SB Orange Label Dunk Low Pro pays homage to the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 90 with selected colour tones that can be seen on the OG model. Released as part of Nike’s ongoing Orange Label project which distributes exclusive styles through selected skate stores across the UK and US in recognition of the ‘Support Your Local Skate Store’ initiative, we have a limited number of pairs available through our flatspot.releases raffle.
The uppers and edge of the toe vamp are crafted from smooth neutral grey coloured suede with a solid black leather overlay that secures the top lace eyelets and wraps around the back of the heel. The white mesh of the toe vamp continues across the top of the padded tongue and can be seen again around the ankle collar. Darker grey, elongated Swoosh ticks sit on either side of the foot and continue around the reverse where curved infrared leather overlays have been positioned centrally with capitalised black ‘Nike’ lettering applied on top. Celebrating the specific Air Max 90 ‘infrared’ shade, the thick tongue has a bright piped border and the white woven label below shows signature ‘Nike SB’ branding in a matching tone, a set of black and white laces arrive with each style. For comfort and support during all day skate sessions, in addition to the cushioned tongue, throughout the inside a soft fabric lining has been added alongside a Zoom Air unit within the sockliner. Helping you to grip your board, the flexible rubber outsole has a tacky finish with a white top layer and a bright infrared tread which has a variety of textures that surround a pivot circle for a reliable level of grip.
Not only used on the iconic Air Max 90, the same infrared shade stood out against all black uppers on a late ‘90s Air Jordan 6 model, which is notably the shoe that Michael Jordan wore as the Chicago Bulls won their first NBA championship in 1991. Continually looking to their extensive archive for inspiration and proudly recreating some of their best loved OG skate shoe styles for those who couldn’t cop a pair the first time, Nike SB has kick started the new year with a strong selection of designs that tap into their rich creative personality and celebrate bygone designs. Launched in 2019, the Orange Label Project incorporates the brands heritage with added performance features that cater to skateboarding within some of the most celebrated footwear models such as the Bruin, Blazer Mid, Dunk Low and Gato, reimagined using premium materials in specific colourways and elevated with details inspired by the DNA of the Nike brand.
