Nike SB Dunk Low Pro OG 'Panda Pigeon' Shoes

As part of the latest collaboration between Nike SB and legendary NYC designer Jeff Staples, we have a limited number of Nike SB Dunk Low Pro OG 'Panda Pigeon' Shoes - Black / White - Green Gusto on offer.

Brought to life after a series of photographs of rejected prototype samples were posted on (Staple Design founder) Jeff Staples’ social media, fans took a particular liking to the initial design of the ‘Panda Pigeon’ which lead to an upgrade and a 2019 re-birth of the original Dunk Low silhouette. Inspired by a blend of New York City and China, this shoe has been designed to a monochrome, panda colour scheme with flashes of green gusto which represents bamboo. Referencing Staple Design’s motif, a small embroidered pigeon has been added on the heel. Printed within the shoe, “S(T)AMPLE NOT FOR RESELL” hints at the exclusivity behind each release and the story behind this particular model.

Originally causing riots and hysteria on February 22, 2005 the first exclusive drop of the OG Nike SB Pigeon Dunk was a momentous event in sneaker history. Designed as part of a collaboration with Nike SB - which at the time was only two years old - designer and creative Jeff Staples lent his hand to the style and took inspiration from his New York City street surroundings, more specifically the cities unofficial mascot; the pigeon. 2017 saw the ‘Black Pigeon’ come to life, built from nubuck and Stetson waterproof leather.

Best known for building NYC based design consultation studio Staple Design, Jeff Staples built his reputation through initially releasing a line of handmade graphic t-shirts. From there he has developed his name within design working with some of the best known brands in the world such as Nike, Adidas, Converse and Google. Known best for his multi-skilled approach to design, he is also the host of Hypebeast’s Radio podcast.

Housed in an OG pink Nike SB branded box, the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro OG 'Panda Pigeon' Shoes are completed with the option of green, white and black laces.
