Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 Low Shoes by Eric Koston
Nike SB’s SS19 season has seen a continuous celebration of the relationship between basketball and skateboarding, culminating in the timeless design of the Nike SB x Jordan 1 Low Shoes by Eric Koston. This trio of creative influences have resurrected an original silhouette which was worn by Nike’s earliest skaters, prior to the creation of the SB sub-division, when the likes of Gino Iannucci and Reese Forbes were given Air Jordan 1’s to skate in.
This low-cut silhouette features a two-tone colourway; with crisp white leather underlays decorating the toe vamp and lateral panels - echoed in the midsole. Contrasting suede overlays have been dressed in a midnight navy, running from the toe cap to the eyestays and finishing at the heel under a signature Air Jordan logo. Naturally a swoosh logo in metallic silver decorates the sides, while a small embroidered Jumpman on the forefoot pays homage to the Jordan brand’s 35th anniversary
Having been designed by a skater, the shoes perform as well on the board as they would on the court. Continuing the theme of originality, the Zoom Air unit included draws on the early 2000’s for inspiration while retaining a modern level of impact protection while the iconic padded tongue provides support with each step. Further details include perforations around the toe unit for improved breathability and a multi-directional tread pattern on the outsole.
When Eric Koston sat down with the designers, he specifically recalled Gino showing him an original AJ 1 with a Zoom Air sockliner and the iconic white and navy leather colour-blocking. Having been prior to his career at SB, this moment ingrained itself in Koston’s mind throughout all of his creative endeavours at the brand and now he wanted to pay it due respect. His own branding has been kept minimal with his iconic signature on the underneath of the woven tongue label
The Jordan 1 has been an icon of the streets for decades; whether it’s for on the board or the court. It has retained this legacy through keeping aesthetics timeless, while still offering a contemporary twist through collaborations with both creatives or the staple brands of the culture.

Draw opens on Thursday 13th June at 12:00PM (BST) and closes Friday 14th June at 12:00PM (BST).

Winners will be chosen at 08:00AM (BST) on Saturday 15th June at the official product release time and we will aim to confirm both successful and unsuccessful entries within three hours.
For each release we will invite those interested to enter a draw to purchase prior to the products actual designated time of release. Card payment will be required to register for each draw and your payment will be authorised but the funds not taken by us unless your name is successfully drawn at the designated time and date of the actual release.
If you are unsuccessful in the draw the pre-authorisation will be voided and your funds released, it may take up to five working days before you see your funds available in your account again.
